The Autódromo Provincia de La Pampa, located 10 km from Santa Rosa, is a 4.1 kilometre, eight-turn circuit which opened in 2012.
Construction began in 2011 on farmland and 18 months later the circuit opened. The venue replaces the now-defunct Autódromo Parque Ciudad de Santa Rosa, 16 km to the north-east, which closed in 2010 after falling into disrepair.
Costing $100 million Pesos to build, the modern circuit features a uniform width of 16 metres throughout its relatively simple layout, punctuated by two lightly-banked corners.
With a fast and flowing layout, the circuit ended a 26-year regional hiatus for the country’s Turismo Carretera series when it opened in 2012.
TC2000 (then known as Súper TC2000) first visited in 2013, staying on the calendar for four consecutive years.
