Mark Blundell partners with HP for inaugural BTCC campaign

Mark Blundell has announced lead sponsorship from technology company HP for the former single seater racer’s first foray into the British Touring Car Championship this year.

Blundell, 52, will be racing an Audi S3 Saloon for the Trade Price Cars outfit as revealed earlier in February, and he will carry with him backing from HP for the season.

The deal marks the first venture into the BTCC for HP in a sponsorship capacity, and the company will have its logos feature prominently on Blundell’s car.

“I am delighted to be working alongside HP across the 2019 BTCC season in what promises to be a year of firsts for us all,” said Blundell. “Coming into a new series is a difficult challenge at the best of times but I am hoping that my experience coupled with HP’s enthusiasm will make it a really memorable year.

“HP’s success across the globe has been built upon a desire to reinvent what is possible at every turn, something I will be doing at every opportunity both on and off the track this year!”

Neil MacDonald, UK and Ireland Consumer Director at HP, commented: “Mark’s return to the elite-level competition has certainly caught the attention and HP is delighted to be supporting him and his team this year.

“The British Touring Car Championship has been a leading spectacle for UK sports fans for over sixty years now and we are looking forward to maximising the opportunities that our new association will provide.”
