The majority of the British Touring Car Championship field have selected to run the option tyre in race two at Knockhill on Sunday, with forecast rain in Scotland set to potentially negate the rubber choices.
Heavy rain is currently forecast to affect all three races on Sunday, which would render tyre choices irrelevant as all drivers could end up running on wet tyres anyway.
That has meant that most drivers – 15 of the 31 – have chosen race two to run the option tyre should conditions not turn out to be wet, with that race being the most favourable strategically to run the softer compound.
Only two drivers – Rory Butcher and Chris Smiley – have selected race three to run the option compound.
