The list of teams who have a TOCA BTCC Licence (TBL) for the 2024 British Touring Car Championship have been confirmed, with new entities appearing on the list following the transfer of Team HARD’s licences.
Nine entities are in possession of at least one TBL, and several teams have taken the opportunity to expand their holdings ahead of the new season.
The list was published two weeks later than planned, due to “particular circumstances relating to one team, which resulted in several late movements of some TBLs”.
Whilst Excelr8 Motorsport, Alliance Racing and West Surrey Racing continue to hold four TBLs, they are now joined by Speedworks Motorsport, which has acquired an additional TBL to take its total to four.
One Motorsport continues to hold three TBLs, whilst Power Maxed Racing has added another TBL to take its total to three.
Aiden Moffat Racing continues to hold two TBLs, and new entry Restart Racing has acquired the other two former Team HARD TBLs. Reigning TCR UK champion Carl Boardley’s outfit, CBM Motorsport, continues to hold the last remaining of the 27 TBLs.
Team Dynamics previously held two TBLs, and after not taking part in the 2023 season, the Midlands-based team no longer holds those, likely signifying a continued absence for the team.
“Given the background of potentially having up to six entries affected within just the last three weeks, the quantity and quality of our 2024 entry further underlines the phenomenal strength and resilience of the BTCC,” said BTCC Chief Executive Alan Gow.
The official entry list will be published in late March.
