The dates and countries for the 2024 TCR South America season have been revealed, with the fourth year of the championship set to feature four events in Brazil, two in Uruguay and four in Argentina.
The season will take place over ten weekends, beginning with the sole endurance event of the year in Brazil in mid-April. Previous Brazilian endurance events have been held in Interlagos. Marking a change to previous years, there is only one endurance event in 2024.
After two more events in Brazil in May and June, the Brazilian leg concludes in July with the first of two events held in conjunction with the FIA TCR World Tour.
The series will again combine with the TCR World Tour in August for the first Uruguayan event at El Pinar, before the second event in the country later in the month, widely expected to be held at Rivera.
The season concludes with four events in Argentina from mid-September through to the end of November and start of December.
The series will once again be held in conjunction with TCR Brazil – the four Brazilian events plus the October Argentine event will count towards the second-ever TCR Brazil title.
The names of the hosting circuits will be announced in the coming weeks.
“We are proud to once again have three different countries on our calendar,” said series promoter Federico Punteri. “This is the result of working together with Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina from day one to continue the growth of the category.
“This year we will once again have dates for the TCR World Tour, which has now added FIA certification for the championship.
“The possibility of holding international events brings us much closer to the first level of the world of motorsports. This is another example of the success of the TCR concept.”
