PMO Motorsport has confirmed that Fabricio Pezzini will return to defend his TCR South America title, with Frederick Balbi also joining the team running Lynk & Co cars.
The team will expand for 2023, running four Lynk & Co cars, with the other drivers to be confirmed in due course.
Pezzini made his début in the series at the tail end of 2022, winning in his second meeting in the team’s Lynk & Co machinery.
In 2023, he won twice early in the year, and secured eight podiums on his way to the title. Aside from the final race of the year, when he retired, he never finished lower than fifth.
Balbi made his first appearance in the series in the second event last year, racing a Peugeot 308 TCR with PMO on-and-off, before switching to an Alfa Romeo for the season finale with Squadra Martino. His best result was fourth in the Termas de Río Hondo endurance race.
Uruguayan Balbi previously won the Uruguayan Formula 4 title twice, before switching to the national Superturismo series, where he was runner-up in both 2021 and 2022.
