Berthon, Michelisz and Ma penalised after race one in Aragón

Nathanaël Berthon, Norbert Michelisz and Ma Qing Hua were handed post-race time penalties following the opening FIA World Touring Car Cup race at MotorLand Aragón.

For Comtoyou Racing’s Berthon, it means he loses the podium finish he had scored, with the five seconds added to his time for contact with Yann Ehrlacher meaning that Mikel Azcona is promoted to third, with Berthon dropping to fourth.

Hyundai’s Michelisz was given an additional five seconds to his race time for contact with Ehrlacher as well, dropping the Hungarian from fifth to sixth and promoting the Cyan Racing driver up a place.

Ma was also penalised, but as the Chinese driver had finished down in 13^th and was clear of the only other finisher, the five seconds added to his time for contact with Tom Coronel had no effect on his classification.
