Juan Ángel Rosso and Fabio Casagrande have been confirmed as returning to the 2022 TCR South America series, where they will race a Honda Civic Type-R TCR for Squadra Martino.
Casagrande, 46, completed most of the inaugural season in 2021, missing only the second Uruguayan event at El Pinar.
The Brazilian started the season racing an Alfa Romeo for the PropCar Racing Team, before switching to racing a Honda Civic FK2 for Squadra Martino from Río Cuarto onwards.
Súper TC2000 regular Rosso only made one appearance in the series in 2021 in the endurance event in Buenos Aires, but the 28-year-old now plans to tackle a full season in 2022.
Squadra Martino were third in the 2021 Teams’ championship, having also fielded a car for José Manuel Sapag for most of the season.
“For us it is important to confirm our participation, representing JAS Motorsport and Honda in this part of the world,” said Team Principal Sebastián Martino.
“We will start our pre-season testing programme on 15th February with the aim of completing three or four tests before the start of the season.
“I am confident in the potential of our line-up; Rosso has a great experience and Casagrande has improved a lot last year.”
