Liam McAdam has announced plans to contest the complete TCR Australia season in 2022, with the Queensland racer taking his Audi RS3 LMS to all seven events.
McAdam débuted in the inaugural season in 2019 when he took part in the final three meetings, claiming a best finish of sixth at Sandown.
Last year, the 24-year-old made a one-off return to the series at Bathurst, having been restricted for the rest of the season by strict border restrictions due to the COVID pandemic.
Having secured additional sponsorship for 2022, McAdam is looking forward to the coming season.
“We’ve got a backer for the year, and we plan on doing the full series,” said McAdam. “The flip side is that I haven’t done a lot of driving in two years, so that now becomes my full focus.
“We’re testing at Queensland Raceway at the end of the month and then full steam ahead for Tassie.
“I’m really looking forward to the season. I love driving these TCR cars. They suit my style and as we saw with Chaz [Mostert] and Luke [King], the Audi is certainly a competitive package.”
TCR Australia kicks off at Symmons Plains next month on 11 – 13 February.
