North American racer Tim Lewis Jr has confirmed a season in the inaugural TCR South America season this year, where he will race an Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR run by PropCar Racing.
Lewis has competed in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge since 2019, racing an Alfa Romeo along with Argentine racer Roy Block, who has also confirmed plans to race in the new South American regional series this year.
Lewis will race for the team managed by Darcio Dos Santos, and as with his time in the IMSA series he will share a car with Block.
The 38-year-old also took part in four races of the TC America series last year, securing a best finish of second at Road America, whilst retiring from the other races he entered.
