Tecnodom Sport will field a second car for its TCR Europe début at Monza next weekend, with Kevin Giacon getting behind the wheel of an Audi RS3 LMS alongside the début of the team’s new Fiat Tipo TCR.
Tecnodom has already confirmed that Luca Rangoni will race the Tipo TCR on its race début, and now Giacon will join the garage in an Audi.
Giacon has been involved in the development of the Tipo TCR car in recent years, and he last took part in a race in TCR Italy in 2019 when he made a one-off appearance at Mugello in a Honda.
Previously, Giacon contested the 2016 and 2017 TCR Italy seasons, including winning twice in 2017 in the team’s Opel Astra TCR at Mugello and Vallelunga.
The 22-year-old was classified third overall in the Italian TCS Championship in 2016, before finishing third overall in TCR Italy in 2017.
“I’m delighted to return at the wheel of a race car for the TCR Europe event at Monza,” said Giacon. “I’m aware that the level of the championship is very high, but I know the circuit well and I expect my Audi to be competitive enough for achieving some good results.”
