Comtoyou Racing has confirmed that it will enter four Audi RS3 LMS cars into this year’s TCR Europe series, retaining Gilles Magnus alongside Nicolas Baert and two yet-to-be-confirmed drivers.
Magnus, 20, had already been confirmed for a second season in the European competition, with the Belgian looking to build on his début year in 2019, when he finished sixth overall and scored one race victory.
“2019 was an apprenticeship year and now I feel more prepared while facing the new season,” said Magnus at the time. “Thanks to the support from Audi Sport Customer Racing and the professionalism of Comtoyou’s crew I will give my best to fight for the title.”
Magnus will be joined by youngster Nicolas Baert, who took part in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship last year with MP Motorsport.
Baert, like Magnus, also competed in the FIA Motorsport Games last year, when he raced in the Formula 4 Cup.
Comtoyou Racing will also run two additional cars in conjunction with the Brabant Team, although the identities of the drivers have not yet been revealed.
The team has also said that it could run a fifth car at some events, although further details were not provided.
The 2020 TCR Europe calendar is currently being revised, with the earliest start date currently listed as 11 – 13 September at Zolder, although an earlier start is also possible depending on the evolving COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
