Target Competition has confirmed Argentine driver José Manuel Sapag will race for the team in this year’s TCR Europe series, bringing the 24-year-old to the series full-time in a Hyundai i30 N TCR.
Sapag made his TCR Europe début in 2018, when he raced at the Monza round in a CUPRA TCR entered by the Portuguese Baporo Motorsport team, securing a best result of 11th in race two.
Sapag previously raced in the Argentine TC2000 and Top Race series, whilst he has also successfully competed in Europe including in the Spanish Campeonato España Resistencia [CER].
In 2019, Sapag took part in three rounds of the Argentine TC2000 series for Citroën, whilst he also took part in the 24H TCE Endurance series in Europe with Baporo.
Target has yet to confirm its other drivers for TCR Europe in 2020. The season gets underway at Spa-Francorchamps on April 30 – May 3.
