Jimmy and Teddy Clairet will compete in the 2019 TCR Europe series in a pair of Peugeot 308 TCR cars run by Team Clairet Sport, marking their first full season in TCR competition.
Both Jimmy and Teddy have had some limited previous experience of racing in TCR series, with Jimmy taking part in the Spa round of the TCR International Series in 2016, whilst Teddy took part in the European Touring Car Cup on the Nürburgring Nordschleife that same year, albeit both in Peugeot 308 Racing Cup cars.
Now the duo will embark on a full season of TCR racing, as they enter in the team managed by their father Jean-Marie – himself a former race winner in Citroën, Peugeot and SEAT cars and also a former one-time WTCC racer in 2009.
Both Jimmy and Teddy have been front-runners in the Renault Clio Cup and Peugeot Racing Cup in recent years, with 28-year-old Jimmy being third overall in the 2017 and 2018 Peugeot 308 Racing Cup.
25-year-old Teddy is the reigning champion in the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup and he also finished as the runner-up in the previous season.
A third car will be run for a driver who is yet to be revealed.
