Norbert Michelisz will make his début in the TCR Europe series this weekend, racing the second Hyundai i30 N car alongside Dániel Nagy at M1RA at the season finale n Barcelona.
Michelisz last raced for the team in the TCR International Series in 2017, taking a memorable race victory at the Buriram International Circuit.
This year the Hungarian has focussed on racing in the FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) but with a gap in the schedule he is able to join the field in Spain for the showdown of TCR Europe.
“Anytime we have Norbi in the team is very emotional,” said Team Principal Dávid Bari. “To work together with a world class driver is an honour for everyone involved with M1RA, so we are extremely proud and excited about the race weekend in Barcelona.
“Now our job is to transform his experience and knowledge into results on the track. We would like to thank our sponsors and everyone who helped to make this happen.”
Michelisz himself is looking forward to returning to the team which he co-founded with Bari at the start of last year.
“Everybody knows that M1RA is more than a team for me, it is like family,” said Michelisz. “As a Hyundai driver in WTCR I feel the responsibility, so I will do my best for the manufacturer, M1RA and my teammate Dániel Nagy in Barcelona.
