World Touring Car Cup racer Nathanaël Berthon will join the grid for the TCR Europe season finale in Barcelona this weekend, supporting the campaign of Maxime Potty in the TCR Benelux category.
Berthon will get behind the wheel of an Audi RS3 LMS for Comtoyou Racing, making his first appearance outside the WTCR this year in TCR-spec machinery.
The Frenchman joins a burgeoning grid for the season finale, with more than 30 cars set to contest the final races of the largest regional TCR series.
To-date Berthon’s touring car experience has been limited to WTCR, where he has recently scored his first-ever podium finish in the street races in Wuhan. The Frenchman heads to Barcelona off the back of a recent run of form in WTCR, having picked up five top ten finishes in a row.
The 29-year-old has an extensive racing CV, which has also seen him compete in the World Endurance Championship, Blancpain GT series, Andros Trophy ice racing and single-seater racing, including Formula E, in the past five years.
