TCR Germany regular Mike Halder will join the KCMG outfit as their third driver for the TCR Europe season finale in Barcelona.
Halder, who finished fourth in the standings of TCR Germany this season with three pole positions and three victories, will help out Hell Energy with KCMG’s hopes of securing the Team’s title alongside regular drivers Josh Files and Attila Tassi.
The 22-year-old will be familiar with the Honda Civic Type R TCR with which he will make his TCR Europe debut, as he raced one for Honda Team ADAC Sashen this year in Germany.
“I’m very excited to be making my TCR Europe debut this weekend,” said Halder.
“I have two targets; to support Attila and Josh in helping the team win the Championship, and to perform strongly and show people what I can do.
“I’ve had many pole positions and wins in TCR Germany this year and it will be interesting to see how I can fit in with a new team at a new circuit.
“I think it’s going to be an amazing weekend for the fans and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
KCMG currently sit just seven points adrift of Target Competition in the Teams’ Championship with 95 up for grabs across qualifying and both races.
The season finale gets underway on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next weekend on the 20-21 October.
