Switzerland-based Vuković Motorsport have unveiled a Renault Mégane car built to TCR specifications which is set to hit the circuit in 2018, after receiving manufacturer authorization from Renault.
The team received the authorisation from Renault to design, build, develop, race and sell the car. The first rolling chassis has now been completed and an ‘intensive’ testing schedule will begin as soon as the powertrain is in operation.
“We have put all our energies and resources in this project with which we want to demonstrate the benefits of our systematic and high-quality approach to ultimate performances within the given rules,” said Milenko Vuković.
“We wanted the Mégane TCR to have all the ingredients it takes for being a sound and competitive car out of the box.”
The outfit are now focused on working on the engine set-up, while at the same time the intensive development program is being prepared.
Once the TCR homologation process is complete, the cars are to be offered to other teams for sale.
