American Ace Robey and Zest Racecar Engineering have confirmed their participation in the 2017 TC Open Series, racing a SEAT León Cup Racer.
Robey started his racing career in 2002 and competed initially in California, competing on Superbikes and at performance riding schools.
In 2008, Robey began participating and instructing at track events and has seen his career develop to include racing on legendary circuits such as Laguna Seca, Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue racing in Europe and to compete in the TC Open series,” said Robey. “The competition will be fierce, and I know with the team behind me, we will fight for podium positions throughout the season.”
Zest Racecar Engineering plan to field a two-car team in the new series, which will be run in conjunction with the GT Open.
Zest, who are based in Northamptonshire in the United Kingdom and are headed up by Malcolm Cleland, have a long history of success in racing SEAT cars. The team offer ‘arrive and drive’ deals with their SEAT cars in a number of different European championships.
The team are currently looking for a second driver.
