Paladini Racing has confirmed it will switch to running two Lynk & Co cars for Juan Ángel Rosso and Fabián Yannantuoni in this year’s TCR South America series, whilst keeping a Toyota Corolla for newcomer Santino Balerini.
The team, which has been present in the series for the past three years, has opted for consistency in keeping Yannantuoni, 45, and Rosso, 31.
Last year, the team claimed one win, via Yannantuoni at Cascavel, but it was Rosso who ended the year highest in the drivers’ standings, in fifth overall, as Yannatuoni ended the year in tenth.
Having run customer Toyotas built by Toyota Team Argentina for two seasons, the team has now taken the decision to switch to the older but proven Lynk & Co 03 model for 2025.
Balerini will keep the team’s Toyota association going in a third car, whilst the team has not ruled out expanding to a fourth at some point in 2025.
“I am very motivated to be part of Paladini Racing for another year and share a team with Fabián,” said Rosso. “The Lynk & Co cars are very competitive and I am sure that we will be fighting for important things in 2025.”
Yannantuoni, who has a long association with Paladini going back to his days in the TC2000 and Súper TC2000 series, is pleased to continue for a third season in TCR.
“We are approaching this season with great enthusiasm and professionalism,” added the Santa Fe driver. “We have a solid team and top-level cars, which allows us to aim for the top positions.”
Balerini,20, graduates to TCR from the Turismo Nacional category.
“A new stage begins with a great team that has a lot of experience in the category,” said Balerini. “My idea is to take it step by step and get to know the different circuits that the TCR runs on.
“Together with Fabián and ‘Colo’ (Rosso) the steps will be shortened quickly and that is very good.”
