Rob Huff will return to the FIA TCR World Tour for the final two events of the 2024 season, reuniting with Audi to race an RS3 LMS TCR for Volcano Motorsport in China and Macau.
Fresh from completing his first full British Touring Car Championship season in 20 years, Huff will return to the TCR World Tour where he raced in 2023 to rekindle his relationship with Audi Sport.
The 44-year-old will again partner John Filippi in an Audi, as Volcano Motorsport returns to running two cars.
Huff, an 11-time winner around the Circuito da Guia in Macau (ten times in the Guia race and once in the Macau Touring Car Cup), is using the event beforehand at Zhouzhou next weekend as preparation to reacquaint himself with the RS3 model with which he almost claimed the title in 2023.
“I’m delighted to be back on the TCR World Tour grid,” said Huff, who last won in Macau in 2022. “Up until the start of this year I’ve been racing around the world for the past two decades, so to have the opportunity to go and do a few international events now that my domestic season has finished is exciting.
“Volcano Motorsport is home to a few familiar faces for me, so I should be able to slot right in and hopefully we can hit the ground quickly.
“I know the car inside out having developed it and that is something that will work in my favour.
“Heading out to China – where I’ve enjoyed plenty of success in the past – will be good preparation for Macau.
“Going there the target is very clear; I’m looking for win number 12 and I’ll be going all-out to try and make that happen.
“I’ve got to say a big thank you to everyone at Audi and Volcano Motorsport for helping to put this deal together.
“It’s going to be brilliant to round out the year at one of my favourite places in the world.”
