2022 TCR South America champion Fabricio Pezzini will start the 2024 season with Paladini Racing, continuing a relationship which began at the third event of the 2023 season.
Having won the 2022 title with two wins and eight podiums from the season’s 14 races, never finishing lower than fifth, Pezzini had a mixed start to his title defence in 2023.
A trio of top six finishes concluded with a retirement from engine issues in Rosario, leading Pezzini to leave the PMO Motorsport team.
He paired with Fabián Yannantuoni at Paladini Racing for the Termas de Río Hondo endurance event in a Toyota Corolla TCR, before returning with the team in a first-generation Audi RS3 LMS TCR for the events in Uruguay at Rivera and El Pinar.
Pezzini didn’t complete the season, leading to him being classified just 14th overall in the drivers’ standings.
He has now confirmed a continuation of the relationship with Paladini Racing, starting with the season-opening endurance event at Interlagos this weekend. His guest driver for the event has not yet been confirmed.
The 45-year-old recently completed a test with the team’s third Toyota Corolla GRS TCR in Córdoba.
