Viktor Andersson will race a new Lynk & Co 03 TCR in this year’s TCR Europe series, as the young Swede starts his second touring car campaign.
Andersson, 20, made his touring car début in the championship in 2023, ending the year joint fifth overall in a season which only saw six full-time drivers.
The Swede showed impressive flashes of speed, including taking a maiden pole position in only his second event, on the streets of Pau. He also ended the year with a podium finish in Barcelona.
His MA:GP team has now acquired a new Lynk & Co 03 TCR car from Geely Group Motorsport, and Andersson will embark on his second season in the series.
“Last year was my début in international touring car racing and it really left me with a taste for more,” said Andersson. “We are definitely aiming higher this year.
“We have completed one test back home in Sweden with the new car and the feeling is excellent.
“2023 was a learning year not only for me, but also for the team. We took some pretty big steps forward towards the end of the season and I can’t wait to put our learnings into action for 2024, hopefully hitting the ground running. My ambition is to break into the top three overall.”
Andersson’s car from 2023 has been sold to a team competing in TCR UK in 2024.
Ron Hartvelt, Customer Sport Director of Geely Group Motorsport, is looking forward to continuing working with the team, a relationship which began with Viktor’s father Mattias in the 2021 STCC.

The 2024 TCR Europe season gets underway in conjunction with the FIA TCR world Tour at Vallelunga in Italy on 19 – 21 April.
