Bradley Kent has been stripped of pole position for the opening TCR UK race of the year at Snetterton, handing the top grid spot to Area Motorsport’s Josh Files.
Kent was found to have breached a technical regulation with his Essex & Kent Motorsport Hyundai Veloster N, denying him what would have been a third career pole in the series.
Instead it is Files, making his début in the series at his home circuit this weekend, who moves up into pole position, with fellow Hyundai racer Bruce Winfield now starting alongside his Elantra N on the front row of the grid.
For Kent, the infringement means he will start from the very back for Sunday’s opening race at 13:20 BST.
