Lynk & Co Cyan Racing has revealed Ma Qing Hua and Thed Björk as the first two of its four-strong line-up for the inaugural TCR World Tour in 2023.
Chinese driver Ma Qing Hua joined the Swedish team in 2022 off the back of two successful seasons racing Lynk & Co cars in TCR Asia, which saw the 35-year-old win the title in 2020.
Björk has a long-standing association with Cyan Racing dating back to 2012, which will continue for a 12th season.
The Swede has had more challenging seasons in recent years, with his last win coming in 2020.
“We are delighted to have Thed and Ma onboard for our TCR World Tour programme, two of the best touring car drivers in the world,” said Fredrik Wahlén, Team Manager of Lynk & Co Cyan Racing.
“Their extensive experience will be crucial to our programme as we return to a global race schedule with circuits like Macau and Bathurst.”
Ma scored a best finish of third during the team’s self-curtailed 2022 campaign in the FIA World Touring Car Cup.
“I’m really proud and excited to be a Lynk & Co Cyan Racing driver again this year,” said the WTCC and WTCR race winner.
“It’s a fresh season with a different format and new circuits, a tough challenge that I’m looking forward to.
“I’m happy to be team-mate to Thed again, we had a good cooperation last year that I look forward to further develop.”
2017 World Touring Car Champion Björk says he is newly motivated for 2023, with the new TCR World Tour and the new race circuits it brings with it.
“I am as motivated for my 12th season as I was for my first,” said Björk. “The TCR World Tour means a new spark of motivation for me to return to the international circuits and face a new type of opposition.
“I think this will suit me really well. And I do look forward to continuing my cooperation with Ma who I think completed an impressive first season with us last year.”
The team’s final two drivers will be revealed at the beginning of March.
