The Honda Civic Type-R FK8 and the Peugeot 308 TCR have been handed a weight reduction in the latest adjustments to the global TCR Balance of Performance [BoP] measures.
The changes, which will be applied with immediate effect, see the weight of the newer Honda Civic model reduced by 20 kg, to 10 kg of BoP weight, taking the car’s running weight to 1,275 kg.
The Peugeot 308 has also been handed a weight reduction of a further 10 kg, taking its BoP weight to -40 kg and a running weight of 1,225 kg. The Peugeot has a smaller 1.6-litre engine compared to the majority of TCR cars running two-litre powerplants.
Both cars will see the changes also apply in endurance racing, where the Honda gets a 10 kg weight reduction to 5 kg of BoP weight, whilst the Peugeot gets a 15 kg weight reduction, to -20 kg BoP weight.
Elsewhere, whilst the BoP values for the Hyundai Elantra N TCR remain unchanged, the car will see its Turbo Pressure Limit Support Points adjusted.
