TCR Balance of Performance issued with several changes

The TCR Balance of Performance has been updated with immediate effect, incorporating a number of changes to existing models whilst also adding the new Audi and Hyundai models.

A number of changes have been made to previous models in connection with the BoP weight.

The original-spec Audi RS3 with a sequential gearbox (SEQ) now has 10 kg of weight, having previously been -10 kg.

The original CUPRA TCR SEQ has gained 10 kg of weight to now run at 0 kg.

The Honda Civic FK2 has shed 20 kg of weight to now run at -20 kg, whilst its newer FK7 counterpart has shed 10 kg of weight to run at +30 kg.

The Opel Astra TCR has shed 10 kg of weight and now runs at 0kg, whilst the Renault Mégane and Volkswagen Golf Direct-Shift gearbox (DSG) have also both shed 10 kg of weight to now run at -20 kg and -10 kg.

The Peugeot 308 TCR has shed 20 kg of weight and will now run at -30 kg.

In terms of ride height, the 2016-spec Audi RS3 and the CUPRA TCR will now run at 70 mm, having previously been at 60 mm.

The Golf GTi, meanwhile, has seen its ride height reduced from 70 mm to 60 mm.

The most noticeable change to the list is the addition of the new Audi RS3 and the new Hyundai Elantra N.

The new Audi will run with 40 kg of ballast (20 kg in endurance races), a ride height of 80 mm and a minimum racing weight of 1,305 kg (1,270 kg in endurance races).

The new Hyundai Elantra saloon will run with 0 kg of ballast in both sprint and endurance racing, a ride height of 80 mm and a minimum racing weight of 1,265 kg (1,250 kg in endurance races).
