British Renault Clio Cup race winner Jack Young will join the grid of the TCR Europe series in Barcelona next weekend, racing at the wheel of a Vuković Motorsport Renault Mégane RS.
Young is currently second overall in the UK Clio Cup standings, having taken four race wins. With six races to go, the Northern Irishman is just ten points adrift of the top of the table.
The 17-year-old will add an outing in TCR Europe to his racing programme, as he takes over the Vuković Renault in Catalunya.
Young, who entered the Clio Cup in 2018, became the youngest-ever race winner in the UK Clio Cup this year, and he has recently been interviewed for the BRDC Rising Stars programme.
“This is an immediate step-up up in performance from my Clio so I expect the learning curve to be steep,” said Young. “But there was no way I was going to miss this opportunity to mix it up with the big boys in TCR Europe.
“My focus now is to get to know the new car and my new team as quickly as possible and I’m itching to get started.”
