Jean-Karl Vernay has lost his points finish in the opening FIA World Touring Car Cup race at Zandvoort for contact with Nicky Catsburg, whilst Attila Tassi has been excluded for an ECU irregularity.
Vernay had originally picked up five points for finishing in 11th position, but the Frenchman was hit with a post-race 15-second penalty for contact with Nicky Catsburg at Turn 10.
The penalty dropped Vernay to last of the classified finishers, and he was also given two penalty points on his licence.
Tassi had finished in 18th but was disqualified for failing scrutineering due to an ECU irregularity.
The result has no significant bearing on the championship standings, with both Esteban Guerrieri and Néstor Girolami gaining a point each.
BRC Racing’s Gabriele Tarquini had already been penalised by five seconds for a false start.
