Ferenc Ficza will join the grid for this weekend’s TCR Europe races at the Hungaroring, racing a CUPRA TCR for Zengő Motorsport in his return to TCR competition.
Ficza raced in the TCR International Series in 2017 with Zengő, initially in a SEAT before a switch to KIA machinery at the Hungaroring and Oschersleben. The switch to the underdeveloped KIAs did not work out and Ficza and Zengő did not return to the series thereafter.
Ficza will be in a DSG-gearbox CUPRA for his home event this weekend.
Also joining the grid for his home event will be young Hungarian Márk Jedlóczky, who returns to the grid after missing the Spa event last time out. The 18-year-old will continue to drive a CUPRA TCR run by the JLG Sport.
It means there will be four Hungarian racers on the grid, with regular drivers Dániel Nagy and Attila Tassi continuing in their M1RA Hyundai and KCMG Honda respectively.
