TouringCars.net understands an issue with the fuel injector on Derek Palmer Jnr’s Alfa Romeo Guilietta TCR kept the Scottish driver from competing in TCR UK’s warm-up session this morning.
The sister Laser Tools Racing machine in the hands of British Touring Car Championship driver Aiden Moffat went fifth quickest in the damp conditions, 1.2 seconds adrift of pace-setter Daniel Lloyd’s Volkswagen Golf GTi.
The team are currently sourcing a replacement part for Palmer’s machine and the former Infiniti BTCC racer is expected to take part in all the remaining sessions this weekend.

Qualifying is scheduled for 16:25 this afternoon ahead of two races tomorrow.
