Norbert Michelisz will return to the TCR International Series in Thailand to replace the injured Roberto Colciago, whilst Giacomo Altoè will move from WestCoast Racing to the Hungarian team.
Colciago was ruled out of this weekend’s races on Tuesday, with the Italian having picked up injuries in the start-line accident in Germany almost two months’ ago.
As a result, team boss Michelisz has stepped up to race for the team again this weekend, marking the factory Honda WTCC driver’s second TCR International outing of the year after he took part in his home race in June.
Michelisz will be aiming to help the team’s young charger Attila Tassi to remain in overall title contention, with Colciago likely to drop out of the running as a result of his absence.
Michelisz will have to carry 20 kg of success ballast in this weekend’s races as a result of the strong performance in Budapest earlier in the year, where he took second in the first race of the day.
Also joining the team is former WestCoast Racing driver Altoè, who switches from racing Volkswagen Golf GTi machinery to the team’s third Honda Civic this weekend.
