Josh Price excluded from race two at Knockhill

Subaru’s Josh Price has been excluded from the second British Touring Car Championship race at Knockhill for passing under yellow flags, handing the race three reverse-grid pole to Ant Whorton-Eales.

Price was officially excluded for “overtaking or not slowing down under flag signals” in the second race in Scotland. The Subaru driver was also involved in a controversial incident with Honda’s Matt Neal when he made contact heading into Turn 1, with Neal ending up out of the race in the gravel as a result.

Price has thus been denied what would have been his best-ever BTCC result, which was previously a 15^th position at Oulton Park.

With AmD’s Whorton-Eales subsequently classified in tenth after the exclusion it hands the BTCC rookie his first reverse-grid pole position. The grid spot was previously allocated to Motorbase’s Rory Butcher, wo will instead start alongside Whorton-Eales on the front row for race three.
