After two up and down race weekends at both Oulton Park and Croft, Tom Ingram is feeling more positive after taking three top ten finishes this weekend, as the British Touring Car Championship made its return to Snetterton.
“We finished it quite positive, in the sense that we were happier where the car is,” admitted the Speedworks driver to TouringCars.net at the conclusion of the weekend.
“It’s a shame we weren’t there at the beginning of the weekend, unfortunately, which is why we missed out a little bit. We could have been a little bit higher on the grid, making it a little bit easier.”
Even with having been involved in some close-quarter battles throughout the day, Ingram was still able to progress, getting his best finish of the day with sixth in the final race.
“We managed to get through it. All in all, very good. It’s nice to get a points finish back on the board, and means we can move forwards now,” explained the 23-year-old, who is now fifth in the drivers’ standings on 164 points.
“We’ve had a weekend of being a little bit more positive, but I’m pleased to have three points finishes with some slightly better results.”
