Zengő Motorsport will expand their operations for the TCR International Series round at the Hungaroring this weekend, fielding four SEAT León cars and a KIA Cee’d TCR for Ferenc Ficza.
The Hungarian team have only been seen once so far in the current season, when they ran Ficza in a SEAT at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Hungarian driver had started the season with Zele Racing and was expected to move to Zengő for the European season onwards, but he returned to Zele for the fourth and fifth meetings in Italy and Austria respectively.
Ficza suffered a high-speed crash last weekend at the Salzburgring when he went off the circuit at high-speed. The Hungarian went to hospital for checks but was uninjured in the accident.
Now Zengő will switch to KIA machinery for their lead driver – a change which had originally been scheduled to take place in time for the meeting in Belgium.
In addition to Ficza, the team will also add four more SEAT León cars for local drivers Dániel Nagy, Csaba Toth, Csaba Mór and Anett György.
Nagy is the team’s regular driver in the World Touring Car Championship, whilst Anett György competes with the team in the European Touring Car Cup.
