B.D. Racing’s Antonio D’Amico will join the grid of the TCR International Series at Monza this weekend, with the team making its first appearance in international motorsport.
The team are local to the Autodromo di Monza, based locally at Varese, approximately 70 km north-west of the track. The team is run by Davide Bernasconi, a former champion in Group N Italian Touring Cars.
“The TCR event in Monza will mark my first appearance in international motosport and I am very much looking forward to it!” said D’Amico, from Rome.
D’Amico’s background includes racing in the Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance at the wheel of a SEAT, and the SEAT Ibiza Cupra Cup. The team have now purchased their SEAT León Cup Car which will be raced by D’Amico.
With the return of the Proteam Racing Ford Focus cars, as well as Zengő Motorsport, there could potentially be a grid of 18 cars for this weekend’s event.
