TCR Europe confirms 23 full-season entries in 2025

The new promoter of the TCR Europe series, Rubén Fernández, has confirmed 23 full-season entries for the coming season, with the grid size expected to be capped at 26.

It comes after the series experienced its lowest average grid size in 2024, averaging 15 cars per event, down from a peak of 33 in 2019.

Spaniard Fernández has taken over the promotion of the series for 2025 and is confident of a strong season which may even see grid numbers reach 28 cars in ‘exceptional’ circumstances.

“I’m truly impressed by the level of commitment shown by teams and drivers this year,” said Fernández.

“We already have 23 confirmed entries, and there are still three or four additional drivers we’re in discussions with. The grid is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent seasons.

“Our goal is clear: we want a high-quality championship, not an overcrowded one. In exceptional cases, we might reach 28 cars at certain events, but our target is a 26-car grid to deliver the best racing possible.

“We’re working hand-in-hand with the teams to build something special this season.

“I want to personally thank everyone involved for their support and dedication to making 2025 a standout year for TCR Europe.”

The 2025 season gets underway at the Autódromo do Algarve in Portugal in just under two weeks’ time on 26 – 27 April.

11 teams have confirmed their participation in 2025, with returning names including Nicola Baldan, Viktor Andersson, Felipe Fernández, Santiago Coincepción, Eric Gené, Julien Briché and brothers Jimmy and Teddy Clairet. Newcomers include South Korean duo Junesung Park and Junui Park, along with young Brit Jenson Brickley.

Several teams, including ALM Motorsport, MM Motorsport and SP Compétition, have yet to publicly reveal their driver line-up.
