Solite Indigo Racing switches to TCR Europe

South Korean team Solite Indigo Racing will switch from TCR Italy to TCR Europe for the 2025 season, with regular drivers Junui and Junesung Park joining them in the switch.

The news marks a return of the Hyundai brand to the series for the first time since the 2023 season finale, as the outfit brings its Elantra N TCR cars across.

The two unrelated Parks have spent the past couple of seasons competing in Italy, with notable success in 2024.

Junesung Park won two times in 2024 and collected a further three podium finishes on his way to fifth overall in the drivers’ standings.

“I’d like to improve in all aspects of my driving throughout the season and become a more well rounded driver,” said Junesung Park.

“I’ll give it my best possible shot to be competitive and fight for the championship in TCR Europe.”

Junui also won last year and scored a further two podiums to end the year in seventh, and is keen to improve in 2025.

“It is my goal to get strong results this season in TCR Europe, whilst working on improving myself, and good teamwork and hard work will hopefully lead to this,” added Junui Park, who will be eligible for the young drivers’ trophy as the 19-year-old is under 21.

Team Principal Jae Woo Lee believes moving to TCR Europe is a step up in the progression of both driver’s careers.

“It is perceived that TCR Europe is the most competitive regional series in the TCR category, so it is a necessary stage for us to take the next leap forward to continue our growth,” added Jae.

“In order to bring out the best from both drivers throughout the season, the whole team will cut no corners whatever in getting the highest performance.”
