The calendar for the 2025 TCR Europe series has been revealed, with six events and a new circuit featuring for the first time.
Just as in 2024, the season will comprise six events, down from the seven-event format utilised for five of its first six years (excepting the COVID-impacted 2020 season).
The season kicks off at the Autódromo do Algarve in Portugal on 26-27 April, a circuit which has previously hosted the 2022 and 2023 curtain raisers.
Three weeks later, the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium hosts the series, now the only circuit which has featured on the calendar in every season since its inception in 2018.
Hockenheim returns to the calendar for the first time since 2019 with the third event of the year, before the series returns to Italy, albeit at a different venue, later in June.
It will be the Misano World Circuit staging the fourth event, marking a new circuit for the series.
The Red Bull Ring, which last featured in 2019, returns for the penultimate event of the year in September, following a two-month summer break.
The season concludes at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 26-27 September, the circuit having featured every year except in 2024.
“We are delighted with this calendar that lists some of the finest European racetracks,” said WSC President Marcello Lotti.
“At the same time it avoids clashes with the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour and the major national series in Europe such as TCR Italy, TCR Denmark, TCR Spain and TCR Eastern Europe.”
The promoter has also stated that “the championship is also due to be revamped by a fresh new look” but no further details were forthcoming at this stage.
