PMO Racing has confirmed Argentine Genaro Rasetto as the first of its Peugeot 308 drivers for the 2025 TCR South America season.
The 26-year-old will make his début with the team which won the 2024 drivers’ title, graduating from the Turismo Carretera Mouras series, which is itself a feeder series for the Turismo Carretera championship in Argentina.
However, Rasetto has spent much of his racing career prior to that in single seaters, having previously raced in Formula 1400, Formula Renault and Formula 3.
No other drivers have yet been confirmed, but PMO Racing has already been testing with numerous candidates, including José Manuel Sapag, Agustín Menendez, Lucas Nugnes, Andrés Cicarelli, Tomás Granzella, Tiago Pernía, Matías Cohen and Lucas Guerra.
“I am very pleased to be able to confirm my participation in TCR South America in 2025 with the champion team,” said Rasetto.
“I am very excited about the category and the team, I think it will be a year of a lot of learning since I have no experience with cars of this type, but I am sure that we will give the best of all parts to be able to have a quick adaptation and move as far ahead as possible.

Team Manager Damián Fineschi added: “We are happy to be able to announce our first driver for 2025. With this we can begin to have certainties about what our year will be like, after an unbeatable 2024, winning the four drivers’ championships in South America and Brazil.

“We have been growing together with everyone, achieving titles and spectacular results with victories for Pedro Cardoso, Leonel Pernía and Rafael Suzuki.
