An eight-event calendar across Central America, Europe, Oceania and Asia has been announced for the 2025 FIA TCR World Tour, featuring no fewer than six new circuits.
The series is to visit México and South Korea for the first time, whilst also bringing world-level touring car racing back to Monza in Italy for the first time since 2017.
The calendar was approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) in Kigali, Rwanda on Wednesday 11 December.
The season begins in early May with a visit to México for the first time with a visit to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, which will also be the first time since 2009 that the country has hosted an international touring car event.
The Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia hosts the second event six weeks later, with a trip to Monza in Italy just one week later.
The trio of European events concludes with the Vila Real street circuit in Portugal in early July, the popular circuit returning to the international touring car scene after two seasons away.
Cars will then be shipped to Australia, with an event at The Bend Motorsport Park just over two months later in mid-September.
A first-ever visit to South Korea follows in mid-October at the Inje Speedium, before the series concludes with return visits to Zhuzhou in China and the Guia Circuit in Macau in November.
“We are proud of the 2025 calendar that will bring the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour to two new countries: Mexico and South Korea,” said WSC President Marcello Lotti.
“We are extremely grateful to OMDAI FIA México and its president Jorge Abed who made possible to resume an old and successful friendship and we also thank our Korean stakeholders Kumho and Hyundai for their efforts in paving the way for the event at Inje Speedium.
“We are also very pleased to go back to Portugal and Australia for racing on two iconic venues in Vila Real’s street circuit and The Bend.
“New for the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour are also Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo, that hosted the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games, and Monza’s Autodromo Nazionale, two of the favourite racetracks of drivers from all over the world.
“While we have tried to offer competitors and fans alike new thrills every year, we haven’t changed everything.
“We return to the Zhuzhou International Circuit following a very successful debut in 2024, and we end the season with the Macau Guia Race, the traditional and unmissable conclusion of every Touring Car season.”
