EXCELR8 Motorsport’s British Touring Car Championship squad will transform from Team Bristol Street Motors to Team VERTU for next season, whilst confirming the retention of Tom Ingram and Tom Chilton.
After three years running under the Bristol Street Motors brand, the team will be known as Team VERTU from next year, as parent company Vertu Motors Group elects to consolidate its three main retail brands together.
Tom Ingram is targeting reclaiming the BTCC title he won in 2022, having finished as runner-up for the past two seasons. Tom Chilton will also stay with the team for a fourth consecutive season, equalling the 39-year-old’s longest unbroken stint with a single team in any discipline.
EXCELR8 Motorsport has recently headed to the Trac Môn circuit on Anglesey to begin further winter testing development work on the Hyundai ahead of 2025.
Further news on the team’s third and fourth drivers, along with the final livery for next year, will be revealed in due course.
“Our relationship with Bristol Street Motors over the past four seasons has been fantastic, and there is no doubting the fact that they have played a crucial role in the success we have enjoyed with our touring car programme,” said EXCELR8 Team Owner Justina Williams.
“We are excited that our relationship will continue into this new era, as Bristol Street Motors evolves into Vertu, and are proud to have the opportunity to build on everything that we have achieved together so far.
“With Tom and Tom continuing to lead our driver line-up, and discussions already underway with other drivers, we are excited about what the 2025 season holds under the Team VERTU name.
“We’re confident that not only will we be fighting for the championship title on track in 2025 but will also be able to do our bit to champion the Vertu brand to race fans across the country.”
