20 cars have been entered for the opening round of the 2024 FIA TCR World Tour at Vallelunga next weekend, which will also feature nine entries from the Coppa Italia series.
11 cars have been entered as part of the TCR World Tour, comprising four Cyan Racing cars, three BRC Hyundai entries and two entries each for Volcano Motorsport and GOAT Racing.
The event will take place at the Italian circuit on the same weekend as TCR Europe, which will race separately, despite having shared races with the TCR World Tour last year.
The Hyundai of reigning champion Norbert Michelisz leads the entry, with the Hungarian being joined by familiar team-mate Mikel Azcona and Néstor Girolami, who has joined the team for this year.
Lynk & Co Cyan Racing retains its four-strong roster of Yann Ehrlacher, Thed Björk, Ma Qing Hua and Santiago Urrutia.
GOAT Racing has been newly formed for 2024 and will campaign a brace of Honda Civic Type-R FL5 cars for Esteban Guerrieri and Marco Butti.
Volcano Motorsport has also confirmed a brace of Audi entries this year, with John Filippi again taking part at the top level of touring car racing, alongside returning Moroccan racer Sami Taoufik, who hasn’t been seen in TCR racing since 2021.
Should all of the TCR World Tour entries complete the full season, it would mark an expansion of the field by two cars over last year.
The opening round at Vallelunga is from 20 – 21 April.
