Ryan Bensley joins Pro Alloys Racing for TCR UK début

Ryan Bensley will step up to the TCR UK series in 2024, racing one of Pro Alloys Racing’s recently announced Lynk & Co 03 TCR cars.

Bensley has previously been a race winner and title contender in the Civic Cup. He is continuing a relationship with the team from 2023, when he raced in the TCR-supporting Civic Cup.

Bensley follows in the footsteps of other previous Civic Cup racers such as Alistair Camp, Jamie Tonks and Bruce Winfield, who have all won TCR UK races.

The driver of the second Lynk & Co 03 TCR will be announced in the coming weeks. One of the team’s Lynk & Co cars previously competed in TCR Europe last year, where Viktor Andersson took it to two outright pole positions.

“To be racing in a touring car is something I have always wanted to do, but to also represent a

winning pedigree in Lynk and Co is an opportunity I can’t wait to grab,” said Bensley.

“I know it will be tough but I have the team behind me to have success in the championship, so I will be working hard to get to the sharp end this year.

“My time in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup has proven to be a great platform for me and staying with Pro Alloys Racing, who warrant success at a higher level, cements my view that it’s one of the toughest championships in the UK as I have always said.”

The car is expected to be present at the Season Launch day at Snetterton on Thursday 28 March.
