NAPA Racing confirms unchanged BTCC line-up for 2024

NAPA Racing UK has confirmed an unchanged driver line-up for the defence of its British Touring Car Championship titles in 2024, as it retains the services of Dan Cammish, Ashley Sutton, Daniel Rowbottom and Sam Osborne.

Reigning drivers’ champion Sutton and Cammish are entering into their third seasons with the team, Rowbottom will be in his second year with the outfit, whilst Osborne is heading into a fourth year with the Alliance Racing-run squad.

Sutton won a record 12 races in 2024 to claim a record-equalling fourth BTCC title, whilst three wins for Cammish and one for Rowbottom also helped NAPA Racing UK to secure the teams’ and manufacturers’ titles for the outfit.

Sutton is looking forward to taking on 2024 with the team as he pursues a record-breaking fifth BTCC title.

“After an incredible two years with the team already and the latter being a record-breaking year claiming my fourth title, this now means I am fully focused to go after more,” said 30-year-old Sutton.

“Let’s get 2024 underway! The car finished in a good place but that doesn’t mean it’s been left there. More development has been going on back at HQ and I can’t wait to get back in the hot seat.”

Multiple Porsche Carrera Cup GB title winner Cammish has claimed four of his 12 BTCC wins with the team, and heads into the coming season hoping to be a genuine title contender once again.

“I am very much looking forward to continuing with NAPA Racing UK for 2023,” said the 34-year-old. “I am very proud to be part of such a fantastic team and have learnt a great deal over the past two seasons.

“I intend to use everything at my disposal to bring NAPA Racing more success in the coming season and look forward to getting back on track soon with my team-mates.”

Rowbottom was on the podium five times in 2023 – including one win at Thruxton – in what was the 35-year-old’s best BTCC season to-date as he ended the year seventh overall in the drivers’ standings.

“To go into 2024 with NAPA Racing UK is an amazing feeling,” added Rowbottom. “With one year under our belt we have a great understanding of how we all work.

“To be a part of the success of 2023, and to be able to have contributed in a positive way is a great feeling, but it has left me hungrier and more ready than ever.

“I’ve been in the gym since the flag fell at Brands GP and I don’t think I’ve ever placed myself in a better position to start a season. It’s going to be a great one, let’s go racing!”

Osborne, son of Team Owner Pete Osborne, is heading into his sixth season in the BTCC. Once again eligible for the Jack Sears Trophy (his maiden podium last year doesn’t exclude him from the award in 2024 as it was gained through a rival’s penalty), Osborne also enjoyed his strongest season in the championship last year, collecting six top ten results.

The team will unveil the livery for 2024 in the coming weeks.
