The Lynk & Co 03 TCR will make its début in the TCR UK series in 2024, with Pro Alloys Racing set to run two of the cars built by Geely Group Motorsport.
The car, which won the FIA World Touring Car Cup drivers’ title in 2020 and 2021 with Yann Ehrlacher, is the latest to join the grid of the TCR UK series.
Having first appeared in the 2019 WTCR, the car competed at the top level for four seasons, before Cyan Racing showed off a facelifted version in 2023.
The car helped to deliver an impressive three consecutive WTCR Teams’ titles for Cyan Racing between 2019 and 2021, and also won them the TCR World Tour Teams’ title in 2023.
Pro Alloys Racing made its début in TCR UK in 2023, running Alistair Camp in a Hyundai i30 N TCR at Snetterton and Donington Park, with Camp taking a first win at the latter meeting.
The team’s drivers for the 2024 season will be announced in due course.
“We are very glad to see the Lynk & Co 03 TCR being represented in yet another TCR championship following five successful years in international, regional and national championships,” said Ron Hartvelt, Customer Sport Director of Geely Group Motorsport.
“Pro Alloys Racing made an impressive TCR UK debut last year and we are delighted to welcome them to the Geely Group Motorsport customer racing family.
“We are now looking forward to supporting them in TCR UK, a championship which has grown strongly over the last couple of seasons.”
Championship Promoter Stewart Lines added: “This is fantastic news for TCR UK to have a brand new manufacturer on the grid for 2024.
“The Lynk & Co 03 TCR is an iconic car in TCR competition around the world with many fans, who I would imagine would be excited to see them up close.”
