Spanish brothers Rubén and Felipe Fernández Gil will enter this weekend’s opening TCR Europe event of the season, in a pair of Audi RS3 LMS TCR cars run by RC2 Racing.
Both of the Fernández brothers have been quite active in TCR racing in the past two seasons, having made their débuts in late 2021.
Last year, Felipe took on a full season in TCR Italy, culminating in the 38-year-old winning in the season finale on his way to eighth overall in the drivers’ standings.
45-year-old Rubén also took part in TCR Italy, missing one event, and he took scored one win and finished the year 12th overall.
Felipe and Rubén took part in three and four TCR Europe events respectively in 2022, with Felipe securing a best finish of sixth at Monza, whilst Rubén had a best finish of 14th at the Norisring.
Both drivers are continuing to race in TCR Italy in 2023.
