Comtoyou Racing has added Frédéric Vervisch to the entry list for this weekend’s TCR Europe season finale at the Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya, as the Belgian team seeks to secure all four available titles.
The 36-year-old Belgian has never previously competed in TCR Europe, but he was a full-time regular in the FIA World Touring Car Cup in 2018, 2019 and 2021. He also previously took part in the 2017 TCR International Series.
This year, Vervisch has been competing in GT racing, driving an Audi R8 LMS II in the GT world Challenge Europe series, along with appearances in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he was victorious, and the Intercontinental GT Series.
It will be Vervisch’s first competitive outing in a touring car this season. He will be aiming to help the team to secure the drivers’ title, with Franco Girolami, and the teams’ title, although only Girolami and Tom Coronel are nominated to score in the teams’ classification.
Comtoyou Racing has already won the Diamon Trophy, with Viktor Davidovski, and the Rookie category, with Marco Butti.
