TCR Spain regular Alejandro Geppert will join the grid for next weekend’s TCR Europe season finale in Barcelona, campaigning his Hyundai Elantra N TCR.
The Spanish team has run the 19-year-old in all TCR Spain races so far in 2022, where he currently sits second overall in the drivers’ standings after claiming four victories out of 12 races to-date.
Having made his début last year in CET machinery, Geppert stepped up to TCR machinery for the first time this year.
Geppert, who is in title contention in TCR Spain along with TCR Europe regular Isidro Callejas, can use next weekend to gain experience at the circuit ahead of the TCR Spain finale at the Catalunya circuit in November.
Elsewhere, Janík Motorsport has also confirmed that 28-year-old Slovakian racer Samuel Sládečka will replace the injured Mat’o Homola in one of the team’s Hyundai Elantra cars for the season finale.
Sládečka has previously raced in touring cars when he took part in the 2014 FIA European Touring Car Cup, with a best result of fifth in an S2000-spec Alfa Romeo 156.
More recently, Sládečka has focussed on racing in GT and Sportscar categories.
