ROJA Motorsport’s Jessica Bäckman claimed the pole position for Sunday’s ADAC TCR Germany race at the Salzburgring, just under two tenths of a second faster than title rival Martin Andersen.
Bäckman was just two hundredths of a second slower than the pole time achieved by Szymon Ładniak on Saturday, her time of 1 minute 25.577 seconds being good enough to give her a second pole in the series.
Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s Andersen was second fastest for the second successive session, ahead of Saturday’s race one winner and team-mate Ładniak in third.
René Kircher qualified his Hyundai i30 N in fourth, just over half a second slower than his team-mate, with NordPass’ Jonas Karklys in fifth being the only other driver within a second of the pace.
Max Gruhn put his Audi in sixth, ahead of Maurer Motorsport’s Vincent Radermecker in seventh and Patrick Sing’s independent Hyundai in eighth.
Having been fourth fastest yesterday, Robin Jahr only completed four laps and thus his best time put him in only ninth, nearly two seconds off the pace.
Race two is scheduled to get underway at 13:45 CEST (12:45 BST).
